Aside from the fact that there is no longer many St John's Bay womens tops, and that the website is loaded with so many errors that I can't navigate, I think management has lost their minds. I chose 4 JPC crewneck tee's in different colors last night in the petite size. I noticed that they were $12.99, yet the same top in missess was $5.99. I still planned to order them today. When I did, the petite size was listed at $5.99. So why was it $12.99 last night? And how could a petite in the same style cost almost double the misses size when there is less material to it? Something is awfully wrong at JCP!

Your web site is horrible. Full of errors. Links are dead. Can't even get to next page. Most of your womens clothes are sold out of but the pages still stay there. Not wasting anymore time on your site. it has been this way for way too long.

Please bring back the Stafford men's pants with elastic sides. Also, your St John's Bay Women's shorts. Your new brands are cheap made. No wonder you have lost customers.

It appears that JCPenny is no longer carrying St. John's Bay basic pocket t-shirts in Big and Tall Men's sizes. PLEASE reconsider this-these are great t-shirts! Very comfortable, nice fabric and sized perfectly for larger, taller body types for men and women. I know many plus size women who shop these t-shirts....I am one of them. I have come to depend on these t-shirts for summer and it is so disappointing to not find them in JCP stores nor online.

I am very disappointed when I went to buy my yearly purchases of Ambrielle bras and found that you discontinued them spent several hours searching. WHY would you get rid of such a great product. They are the only bras that my daughter and I like. If your not going to carry them at least tell us who makes them so that we can buy our bras from the manufacture.
>>> Theresa , Dayton OH 5/23/2013 11:12:42 AM
YES can you tell me where to get Ambrielle brand. None of your new underwear or bras fit me. I have tried but NONE of them are any good. Can you tell us where we can buy Ambrielle and Xersion?

I used to love JCP then you got rid of Ambrielle and Xersion and most of the good casual women's clothes. I have stopped shopping with you because I no longer get the sized or brands I want. ALl you have is FAT clothes and BRAND names like Nike. I miss the Xersion exercise clothes. I spend hundreds of dollars on it and loved IT. I loved ambrielle. The only bras and underwear I ever got. Got my kids clothes there too NOT ANY MORE. YOu lost me forever. BRING BACK AMBRIELLE and XERSION and you can have me back!

Bring back: "Underscore bras, St. John's Bay jeans, East 5th skirts and tops, 9-2-5 shoes and Sag Harbor skirts, jackets, and tops. Perfect fit every time and priced right. Also, put the registers back in the departments; checking out is not a group event. My kids were raised on Penney's brand t-shirts, overalls, and jeans. Reasonably priced and they grew out of the clothes before they wore out the clothes. Please bring back the Penney's we all knew and loved.

Bringing back St John's Bay should include pants (specifically bi-stretch petites). I have seen all kinds of shorts and capris, but unfortunately I can not wear those to work. Some of us are older and actually have full time jobs. Your buyers need to get a dose of reality.

I quit shopping when they made Ellen "DeGenerate" as spokes person.JCPenney had always been a family oriented store not a flagship for the homosexual agenda.
>>> Jennifer C, Knoxville TN 5/1/2013 10:33:30 PM
You sound so ignorant! How on earth can you even type those words is beyond me! Ellen is an amazing human being. She does so much for so many and brings happiness to most everyone that encounters her. So what if she is a lesbian. She is in a committed relationship that makes her happy! That is the only thing that's important. All you Christian people seem to forget that the Bible says: John 8:7 “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” Matthew 7:1-5 “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. Maybe people should just learn to love each others as human beings and stop looking for reasons to judge others because we are miserable in our own lives.
>>> kiki , bay shore NY 5/2/2013 10:43:27 AM
What is wrong with you? Who cares what sexual orientation a person is?! I mean unless of course you are trying to hide the fact you are a homosexual and it freaks you out to come out of the closet. We are in 2013 now there are other things to worry about than that get over yourself
>>> Anonymous 5/2/2013 6:20:07 PM
uncalled for... ellen is a sweetheart.. her private life isnt your business or your right to comment on...
>>> Pat 5/2/2013 6:21:02 PM
Wow, what an inappropriate, ignorant comment. We're talking about a retail store here not a political agenda. If you have ridiculous irrelevant opinions you should keep them to yourself. Stay on topic. Who's the one with the agenda here?
>>> D, FL 5/21/2013 9:17:59 PM
Let's assume top JCP management really does want to know what they need to do to reverse the recent losses, and that they are listening to their customer base via forums like this. Attacking a poster like fas933 has the effect of intimidating and silencing voices that could help management understand what has alienated once-loyal customers. It's reasonable to think that a significant market has been lost by the overt promotion of homosexuality. Management should want to encourage free, open, and honest comments about their marketing or merchandise, especially from lost customers. Personal attacks on commenters is not at all helpful. Now for a quick mirror check, how would your shopping be affected if they hired Tim Tebow as spokesman, and scattered a few inspirational Bible verses in their ads?

To Betsy in Nashville: Please learn to spell and to type. Your dislike of JCP is pretty obvious but remember, JCP is not Walmart or the Dollar Tree. All JCP stores do have St. John's Bay again, and the new JCP brand is terrific. New pricing is also great. The changes to the stores are pretty amazing. You seem to be a very unhappy shopper but I don't really think the issue is JCP. Find a mirror. P.S. at some point EVERYTHING is on sale. :)

Jc penny I stopped shopping here over a year ago due to your eliminating St. John's bay. You say it's coming back but in the Albany NY store there s only a very small section of this brand, a fraction of what used to be. The same thing online only 3 pages of women's St. John's bay???? I have worn Cabin Creek clothes for over 40 years. When I was thin and when I gained weight. Had to find jeans at Woman With-In, they were close but not made as well or not true to size like Cabin Creek's were. Now why would a company who had customers for 4 decades send them some place else to shop and instead pander to the youth? Like they have money in this economy... If they get Cabin Creek's entire line back I will be back also. If not I don't care if the local store here closes.

Since JCP has been in an apologetic mod lately, how about apologizing AND doing something about getting this shoe back on your halves and online? Have you read all the requests and pleas across the web? Baby boomers are the people with money to spend in your stores not kids

It's too bad that JCP seems to have changed their focus to a younger set, leaving the Baby Boomers in the dust. FYI: Regarding the disappearing Ambrielle line, I found some very nice, similar lines with a fit like Ambrielle in Kohl's Dept Store(they were buy 1 and 1/2 off 1, 30% off on acct opening, Kohl's dollars that add up and many sales). Also found things there cheaper than other places online. I think I will do just fine there. I highly recommend checking them out!

I cannot believe that you stopped carrying Ambrielle bras! I have been buying them for years and can't find anything comparable - especially in your store! I know that they sold because I would sometimes have to make 2 or 3 trips to the store to find my size in them! WHY?? I can't figure out if you just stopped carrying them or if they were discontinued by your company. Mine are in need of being replaced, though, and I feel desperate! If any other readers can suggest where to purchase Ambrielle bras, I would be VERY Appreciative!! Shame on you for this poor decision, JCP.

I was VERY disappointed today to find out that the Ambrielle line of bras has been discontinued! By the comments here, it looks like it's everywhere in JCP. They're the only ones that I like and fit and have been buying for quite a few years now. I don't think that I will be switching to the new, skimpy fluorescent-colored ones that I've seen in the store! JCP's ads say, 'we are listening'. I honestly think they are doing themselves in and maybe don't know it...yet. The store has been remodeled and looks nice. BUT, if people cannot get what they want, they are just not going to come!!

Your new commercials say your listening to your customers. I'm not sure about that. I use to spend hundred of dollars at JCP for mine and my husband's clothes. First off, I do most of my shopping on line. You website is so not kept up-to-date. Nothing is ever in stock, especially big and tall. I stopped shopping at JC Penney about 18-20 months ago. I finally went today after so many "we want to see you" commercials. WELL, it is just as crappy as it was 2 years ago. Couldn't find anything for myself and it took a long time to find a gift for my neice. Had to wait in line to pay - was told they no longer offer gift boxes and when I asked for a gift receipt the transaction stretched into the 15 minute range. I told them to forget it. I used to buy Stafford dress shirts, short pants, socks and underwear at J. C. Penney. My local Penney's didn't have my size in a plain white shirt. The short pants are geared for teenagers. All I wanted was a plain colored pair. The underwear I had been buying there for decades was nowhere around. Instead they had hideous whites made in Vietnam. I bought two sets of sweat socks. The Wolverine brand had holes in them after about seven washings. The other pair I bought was supposed to fit shoe sizes up to 12. I am a size 10 and can barely get into them. Plus when you go to pay for something, there is no one around to take your money. What a disaster!

I use to spend at least $100 a month at Penney's. I have not spent $100 there in the past year! Our store sucks. Even came out empty handed today, and I just went to buy some bath towels. They have even downsized and changed that department. Replaced it with luggage????

These comments baffle me. The new brands are not cheaply made, and they fit very well. I've purchased several SJB items; my store has always had that brand for sale. The new look is great; it feels upscale, but with good prices. I liked the mobile check-out scanner. The Levi's bar is super nice--no other store has anything like it. I also like the fit and quality of the Stafford, JCP, JFJFerrar, Claiborne, and ijeans by Buffalo brands. The new home department looks great.

The current remodel is underwhelming. Less merchandise, higher prices, and where did the price scanners go? The old "new" JCPenney was disfunctional, but I could count on them having merchandise and clearance out the wazoo. The stores now are bare. If they don't have it on the floor, they don't have it. I gave up on their website because its search capability was horrible. I have seen amateur website with better search functionality. I used to be a loyal customer, but the thrill is gone.

I am happy to hear some brands are being brought back. I miss St. John's Bay. I miss the JCP towels. I miss my bra brand. I also miss so many of the people. Maybe you should bring them back too. There is only one nice manager left in my local store. I miss the cheery jewelry guy and the sweet womens lady. They always said hello to me - nobody ever does now.

I used to shop at penneys all the time, but since the big change at Penneys, I will not shop there. I am a mature adult female and your clothes are horrible. It seems the change is geared for young teenagers with short shorts, see through clothing and very low cut. I have been shopping at Dillards now for my clothing.

Personally I quit shopping at JCP because of the sales people. It feels like Walmart. JCP should take pride in their employees as well as their products and help them dress for success. Your employees should be your Best, advocates. Use them as live clothing models and show off your wears! Good luck bringing back the masses.

I quit shopping at JCPenney when they began promoting gay values. Now its a year later and their stock values have continued to decline so much they fired the CEO responsible for the changes that alienated former shoppers like me...but its too late. I won't be back...and now that you're getting rid of Ellen you'll also lose your gay friendly shoppers. Its better to stay out of the politcal arena and focus on your core business...providing quality clothing. How could you not know this?

Penney's should never have changed. The store always had excellent departments. The only thing that became stagnate is some of the ladies wear. All that needed to be replaced is some of the buyers for ladies clothing. It seems that middle aged women's clothing was lacking. JCP either catered to the juniors and older aged women, with nothing for the middle aged ladies.

The web is full of folks searching for Towncraft 50/50 undershirts. Example, reference the Undershirt Guy website. I read somewhere that JCPenney discontinued them due to some issue with the manufacturing process for 50/50 shirts. Please consider bringing these back. They were comfortable, affordable, and did not shrink. I have searched high and low for a replacement, but a 50/50 blended undershirts that is XL Tall is impossible to find. JC Penney had many customers who were loyal to this brand.

I was a weekly shopper of JCPennys. If it wasn't a blouse, it was shoes, if not that, bedding materials and much more. I would even make sale announcements at my job because I was happy to tell someone about the wonderful sales at the store. But now, not much I say is positive about the store. I speak for a lot of people and we like to see the sign that says Biggest Sale of the Season. A markdown and a sign saying you can get an additional amount off... That goes a long way... ok fine, you changed your pricing to whole numbers but saying everyday pricing and expecting me to buy a shirt that's been sitting there for 3 months and is the same price or $2.00 off, I feel cheated. I saw the new commercial about you messed up. You are absolutely right and until you bring back the old selling strategies (buy 1 get 1 for a penny etc) Your sales will continue to drop.

Was a customer of J C Penney for years - I am so glad the board finally fired Johnson - should have done it sooner. I have taken most of my shopping business to Macy's and Kohls. Great experience shopping in stores and on line - compared to Penneys. Penney's stopped carrying Gloria Vanderbilt jeans Kohl's had them on line - I ordered them and had them shipped in 3 days to my home. Macys has always been a store with great customer service. Penneys has now created a "we are so sorry - forgive us - come back ad - I am still very angry at how they handled all this - customers, employees all suffered. I may never shop there again - regaardless of what they do.

I totally agree. JCPenney used to be my store of choice. I bought all of my linens, bedding, housewares there. Going through my clothes today, I am surprised at how many are "St. John's Bay". I LOVED St. John's Bay clothing. The "JCP" stores have NOTHING in them anymore. Poor quality, poor selection. I received a $10 coupon last year to come back and it took me 1 1/2 hours to find something I wanted to buy. The management has lost it's mind. They've gone from a great store to a nothing store in a matter of 2 years. I wouldn't be surprised to see them close their doors completely. On jcpenney's website, I've noticed lately that when I return to a product page of an item I've either been to before, or have already bought, the prices have doubled! It's ridiculous to pay $50 for a lace curtain that I paid $25 just the week before. I tried clearing my cache and going to the page on another computer, just in case of cache issues, but it seems the prices really have doubled. I noticed they are having a spring sale right now, so is it that they are trying to recoup money from sale items by increasing prices on regular items? This is insane.
>>> PH, Canada 4/27/2013 8:58:50 PM
I totally agree. I went to order two glass end tables which were $275. each and had planned to pick up at the store. The website would not take my phone number. When I went to call it in 2 days later the price had jumped to $550 each! If the every day low price was $275. and one can assume there is a markup at that price how can JCP justify another markup of $275.00! Somehow I can not see JCP offering these items "on sale" for the previous every day price. A very unhappy former customer.

I am so disappointed into what Penneys has turned into. The clothing line in womens are geared for Womens or the much younger .What about us that need the in-between fit? Last year after searching a good 2yrs to find shorts to fit and look just right were the St Johns Bay Chino in the petites. So comfortable, perfect length, looked great on. Well, recently I forgot them on a trip to Mexico. I know I'll never see them again. And of course, the JCP no longer carries them. Several years ago, I had the opportunity of meeting MR.Penney himself in NY. I think the man would roll over in his grave if he saw what has happened to his stores in the past 2yrs.

Wow, LA 4/27/2013 5:05:48 PM
Wow! There will be no Penny's after the generation currently patronizing the establishment dies. Baby boomers wont live forever. What then? Let's say they bring back all the inexpensive brands you are all complaining about. Ok, great now the apparel nobody under 50 cares about is back and thriving....Now flash forward 20-30 years. All of the customer base is taking the next and final journey of their lives and Penny's is filled to the brim with St Johns Bay. A brand that anyone under 30 and from middle income households has never even heard of. Not that income and age should be discriminated against but math is math. The appropriate corporate action would have been to integrate the product, marketing, and pricing changes over a longer period of time so as not to alienate current customers while at the same time attracting new ones. I am 34 and remember shopping at Penny's with my grandparents. It was fun until I was about 12. After that the clothing I cared about could not be found at Penny's. I have not been back since. This is a common story. Bottom line is that the Penny's you all love (or used to love) couldn't last anyway...not the way you want it to. But I guess from a purely selfish standpoint.....wait this is also the children of the generation that thought cars that run on gas was the best option right?

We had not been there in months and were shocked to see a store we did not recognize. Ugly polished concrete floors greeted us and the clothing looked like it was aimed at 16 - 23 year olds. We walked the store and saw nothing that appealed to us. My daughter loved the St. John's Bay brand and I loved the Cabin Creek brand for women. I am 63 and my daughter is 29 and we both were disappointed that our favorite store no longer exists. Please bring it back along with the brands we love. Spent over 1 hour in JCP on Fri looking for clothes. I looked carefully. There was nothing there for me as an adult baby boomer woman who is short. The merchandise is completely different and while colorful and pleasant-looking if you squint from a distance, it is cheap and flimsy and repetitive. Not JC Penney but something else, something much less. If I had wanted to buy my clothes at Target I would have gone there. Lose the robotic rhetoric that your employees (associates) are forced to spew. Honest interactions will pay off in the end. It's too bad a good company as been dealt a nearly fatal blow. I shopped in your Cherry Hill store a few weeks ago, and found some great items on sale. I was so happy! Today, I logged on your website to do my Spring/ Summer work clothes order and wound up frustrated! The graphics showing the items were horrible, making everything look like gaudy thrift store items, the selection was scarce and when I did find items, they were out of stock!! I loved the catalog of years gone by. Id select outfits, bedding ensembles with matching curtains, often spending hundreds every order! Online ordering used to be so simple, and I found myself having to use restraint to not overspend! Today I placed a $400.00 order at Macy's.com. I think they are scooping up the online business you trashed. Good luck! You're going to need it!

You're also wasting money on the little catalog you send in the mail and I also get one in our newspaper. Why two - isn't that overkill and wastful? Items in that booklet are not in the store. Beautiful colors tho. Please bring back the store with good quality clothing, etc. We don't need more electronics or luggage. We can get that at Carson's or Kohl's! That is where I shop now - at least they have a LOT of inventory to choose from plus good sales!

I used to love JCP. Shopped there faithfully and clothed my whole family, until it changed so drastically that it was no longer family friendly. It is so strange and such a terrible shopping experience - I cringe at the thought of shopping there. I don't know if they will be able to bring back the family spirit of if it is lost forever. Everything there is wrong. It is a terrible experience. I have cut up my JCP card.

I really like the new JCPenney!!! The clothes are so cute...no more polyester, old ladies clothes. Without the boss, I hope they continue the changes. It will take time, but I can't imagine it going back to their old clothing lines. Yuck. They are even putting a Sephora in our store here! WOW!

It's a shame what has happened to J.C. Penney's. I used to love to shop there but now I cannot find anything I like! The brands that used to be there (St. John's Bay, SB Performance, Stafford. etc) were quality products. I used to shop there regularly but now I can never find anything. The selection and the quality are terrible. I hope this company can do a turn around before it is too late. Bring back the proven brands and the higher quality that customers used to count on. I am very disappointed in the changes. I never shop there any more but would go back in a minute if the quality brands that used to be there were back.

I have been praying for the real JCP to return. I have been shopping there and through the catalog for most of my adult life. I'm so disappointed. I have to buy tall women's. My local store doesn't carry tall jeans I can wear so I have always been happy that I can find things online or in the catalog. Not any more. I have to shop at Kohl's now. Please bring back the catalog. My Mom is house bound and I had to go online, copy paste and print the only 2 blouses they had in her size and take the photos to her! Please bring back the old catalog!!!The current catalog is a joke. I throw them away as soon as they arrive. I used to keep the old ones until they expired. I was so upset when they took out the whole catalog department! If I ever do find something online I have to go pick it up at any register which has been very irritating. The cashiers don't know how to make the transaction and it's worse when I return an item, which is now almost anything I buy. Pleeese fix this! I could always find anything buy tall pants in the store, now nothing; and where are the sales? I like sales, even if I just think Im getting a deal. I am so sad that this is happening to a store I used to love.I will continue to pray that a miracle will happen to save and revive JCP.

I can understand everyone's fustration with the new changes. After all, when something changes, we tend to question and only look at the bad. Unfortunately, the issue goes deeper than just bringing back items. Retaliers and vendors change prices, they charge more and when JCP decided to lower their prices to elimiate coupons, alot of those vendors did not want to lower their price for the customer. Alot of people are upset over the coupons, and rightfully so. But do you realize that if coupons end up coming back as there used to be, then prices have to increase? Customers get upset when the prices are too high so coupons are made with exlcusion- then they get angry at the exclusions and complain that the prices are still too high and want more discounts. Then when prices are dropped to everyday low prices, customers complain that they are too high still. C'mon now, you can not get free stuff. I agree that not everything dropped dramatically in price, but everything did drop in price. No coupons or early bird sales, in all honestly I did not like waking up with the chickens for a lower price. And the coupons, yes I do miss them and I believe that they drive sales, but I also know that I end up paying a higher price in general in order to partake in those coupons. My Johnson had the right idea- he just executed it too fast and keot everyone in the dark. The idea is a great one and it can work, it just has to be executed in a timely manner and in a different way. For those who think that we need registers. I for one will agree but times are changing and the vast majority of the population carries debit and credit cards and do not really use cash anymore so it was a semi-step in the right direction, but once again, poor execution. And now the customer service: associates are fustrated and worried about their jobs and unfortunately it comes out when they hear the same questions over and over again on why things are changing and why there is no longer this and why the

Bring back your beloved brands like Cabin Creek (chino pants and camp shirts), St. John's Bay, East 5th, Ambrielle, etc. Have classic styles, from petite to tall. Forget the fancy designers, which are not why we go (rather, went) to Penneys. Respect us by not leaving stuff on your website that sold out many weeks ago. Offer clothes that your customers will actually wear and depend on if they are not a skinny 16-year-old and don't like garish colors and clingy synthetics. Bring back or rehire mature salespeople who care about being pleasant and helpful to customers.

He forgot about generations of customers who were the heart of JCP. He appears to be in his mid 40's, so why would he not consider the age and demographics of this vision he had for JCP that he attempted to shove down our throats! I don't mind paying for what I want and could really careless about a devilish coupon! It was how dare you only cater to the younger generation! REALLy! DID YOU THINK THAT STATEGY WOULD WORK! I'm so disgusted with JCP. I bought a pair of SJB jeans a year ago. They fit me perfectly. Now SJB has gone the way of the dinosaur. I won't wear skinny jeans. There is nothing to buy. The Catalog Dept is closed. I had to wait for someone to show up at the checkout and retrieve my item. The check out system is a total disaster. I hate it. The poor salesclerk had to scan my items on a hand scanner and then pull a bag out of her pocket. She then went across the store to another dept. for the receipt. This is a total mess and I'm not going back until things return to normal. Macy's, Dillard's and Kohl's do things the "Old Fashioned" way. JCP needs to go back and consider who it's customer base it. If I wanted to shop at the GAP, I would. The entire linen dept was empty of merchandise. This is a disaster.

I happen to like the changes made to the store & the brand. The store has an upscale look but with very reasonable pricing. I agree that there could be more selection but I don't want the store to revert back to their old ways. My son finds great selection with the Arizona brand along with prices that allows him to purchase more items for his income. The quick check out during the holidays was convenient, but I understand the need for counters when purchasing many items. I hope that the new leadership will be able to merge the new with some of the old and still maintain the classy look. I am a Penney's fan.

JC Penney's problem is not only the change in pricing. They have taken away brands that alot of people miss very much and they are not catering to all ages like they used to. Went out of my way to checkout your sale on shirts. Heres a suggestion. Stock enough of em so that a person has a chance to buy one. After people start buyying them restock them. Hire store clerks that are smart enough to know whats on sale and where its at. Your' store sucks. Buy cloths that are of decent quality. Dam . Did that boss guy you fired ever buy his own cloths ? Do you think he ever had a job where he operated a cash register ? Did he ever have to count change back to a customer ?

Announced last night that JCP has fired Ron Johnson. Right move, but too late., Even if the company brings back St Johns Bay and the other brands, this company is in a death spiral. I see bankruptcy within 1 to 2 years. Certainly magement will try to save the company, but they have lost their customer base and it's not coming back... Too bad.

Went to JC Penney yesterday to buy a new pair of St John's Bay jeans. These are the only jeans that I've been wearing for a few years. Very disappointed to find out you no longer carry them. I looked around to see if I could find something else and left empty handed. I used to shop at your store all the time but find that the quality of the clothing and the styles are not what they used to be. Will have to now find another store to shop at. Please consider bringing back St John's Bay clothing. From what I see I'm not the only person who wants them back. Thank you for listening!

In this day and age of idenity theft why on earth would JCPenney do away with registers and counters? Paying for items with a credit card is personal and I don't wish to do it in the middle of a sales floor with anyone and everyone walking by. I was standing there (stressed out)with a armful of clothing while the the sales girl was trying to get the darn thing to work. After several attempts she had to take me halfway across the store to where they did have a register and ring me out on there. The sales girl also remarked that since they took registers away from the entrances shoplifters have been having a field day. What is wrong with you people? It's no wonder that you are losing customers/sales. Your leadership has no common sense.

I spent 2 hours at JCP today looking for several complete outfits for business meetings next week. I tried on more than 12 pieces of clothing and was so disappointed that they all went back on the shelf. I've shopped at JCP since my grandmother took me in my early 20's - but no more. I wasted 2 hours of my tight schedule today and walked out with one bra. They missed out on my cash as I would've spent several hundred dollars on shoes, belts, underclothes, etc but their choices in women is worse than I've ever seen and the quality is poor. May as well just close the doors as people aren't fooled any more.

At least 4 times in the last eight months I got specials offers or coupons from JC Penney (I've been shopping there since 1976). I looked at hundreds of items online and EVERYTHING was out of stock. I threw away the coupons, totally disgusted and feeling disrespected. I wore their St. John's Bay jeans for years and now they are gone. I personally think they are circling the drain. How sad.

I used to shop at JC Penney all the time for basic clothing and housewares. But it has been a long time since I've seen anything at JC Penney -- online or in the stores -- that I want to buy. The elimination of the St. John's Bay brand is a huge disappointment -- I spent a lot of money on basic pants and shirts in that brand for myself and my family. The reduction in quality of the company's other merchandise is another reason to stay away. Apple marketing isn't working with Penny's customers. If Penny's wants to woo younger, trendier customers, that's fine. But you don't turn off your current customers before you get the new ones on board -- not if you want to stay in business. Penny's didn't do that, and the company's days are numbered. I'm sorry to see it.

So many people who feel the same way as I do. I have been a loyal Penney's customer for a long time. I have been totally shocked at all the changes. I always stocked up on St. John's Bay tops. I can't find anything to replace them. Everything is so cheaply made now. Being a petite, it's hard to find things that fit. The material is thin, the cut is super skinny. Looking around at the general population, I'm wondering who can wear this clothing other than a few 12 year olds! Also used to buy all my husband's work clothing there. I am so disappointed! And don't get me started on the hand-held scanning devices for checking out. I was told that they are planning on checking you at as they walk around the store so that they can better serve customers. well JC penney started last year with no coupons and fair and square deals without coupons.Now they r going back to coupons to attract more people,then adding that they r rewards not coupons---Come on--u need to accept fact that people will come to shop if they have coupons no matter if u call them coupons or not.They have this new hand held --scanners--No body likes them-as they r battery operated small devices there is no where to see the prices,and mature customers don't appreciate it at all.they need to have scanners like grocery store--1 by 1 scanning is time consuming,To top it all --there is no customer service separated from the rest---its just ridiculous to not be customer friendly!online order pick up is also delayed due to pick up at any register...oh----now they wont even have registers--just mini scanners------

Wow - such jaded commentary. I found the St. Johns brand didn't fit my very normal figure very well and welcome Joe Fresh. For heaven's sake at least applaud JCP for trying something new and upbeat. You have no idea how inexpensive these products are and yet you sound like typical consumers - you expect everything for nothing. I'm a consumer too but I also respect that these businesses have to be profitable in order to provide employment. Is it perfect? Not likely but it could be a lot worse with only one store to choose from.
>>> T. Davis, Decatur, IL 3/17/2013 2:18:35 PM

You get one chance at this JCP I will wait till the end of the month and go in. If I find my work clothes (SJB pants, the shirts are a bonus)and they are the same quality they used to be, I will stock up and buy like 5 pairs and be willing continue looking around your store for other buys no matter how difficult they are to find or to ring up. If they aren't there or if the quality of the material has suffered like the rest of what's in the store I will never attempt to shop in your store again. And for the record no I'm not a baby boomer. Die Hard SJB wearer, Canada 4/3/2013 10:53:58 AM
As a Canadian shopper I would make two trips south to the US for shopping and usually stocked up on SJB for the season. A few times spent more than my customs quota at JCP alone. Just returned from a trip and a large store in AZ. After walking the store 3 times looking for SJB, I asked where it was. A helpful clerk walked me to a display - maybe 20 pairs - of cropped pants in 5 colors and 3 tee shirt syles and said they don`t carry anymore but to try the line Joe Fresh. I burst out laughing and explained we have in Canada in one of our supermarkets as a clothing line and most people call it weekend wear - it lasts one weekend. It is not for the office and it poorly made and the price point is horrible for the quality. She looked at me - and said its sold in a supermarket - I said yes and she blushed and went off to wait on someone else. I own every color and style of pants sweaters and jacket they made in SJB line. Needless to say JCP you lost a mega consumer - and to quote a movie line - big big mistake... Should it return I hope it is exactly the same and not a label on your JCP or Joe cheaply made items

At every turn, retailers are making consumers pay more for less quality AND we have to settle for whatever they throw on the racks because they have stopped making the basic essential staple garments that everyday people need! Mr. Applehead Johnson has destroyed JCP. I hope my favorite sales person in Men's Ware is still there. He's been there since I started shopping there some 30 years ago. My father was in department store retailing for the first half of his working life, just out of Harvard Business. He started in gift cards and ended up running the company's only store. Then he was promoted and started opening stores. He did that for another company. I say this because if he were alive he would be laughing at the JCP Board of Directors. You bring in a guy from Apple; when you have the whole world of retailing to choose from. So far 20,000 people have been let go. Granted the economy stinks, but to throw away your customer base? To replace 30 year vets in cosmetics with (low wage) pretty little girls just out of college. Mr. Applehead, you haven't got a clue. BOD, you better do something fast. Don't throw away your staff that has been working so hard for you TOO. You know what, my brother worked for your company for his entire career; every single day of his entire career. A year before his retirement was to come due he died. Take a guess at how many people from JCP came to his funeral. Even though he worked in your home office in Dallas, and was there every day for all those years: take a guess. Zero! What goes around comes around. You get what you deserve.

JCP always had just what I needed at just the right price and even lower! My curtains, patio decorations, maternity and children's clothes, work clothes. I'm extremely disappointed that the SJB line has been discontinued. I notice that they are trying to revamp their image to gain new customers but what about us loyal shoppers? Chase us away by getting rid of a line that sold and is very popular based not only on this forum's responses but other sites as well. I am so hoping that someone from the higher ups at JCP will be reading this and all the other messages here regarding people's opinion of what's happening with JCP and IT'S NOT GOOD. I am mega disappointed in JCP. I shopped here all my life at JCP as they carried wonderful brands with good qualily items. Where for art thou St. John's Bay, CabinCreek, Worthington, Liz Baker. They've been pushed right off the ledge along with the rest of us loyal customers of many, many years. All my favorite brands are GONE and so am I but not out of choice. I can't get anything that fits anymore. JCP has totally forgotten about their loyal customers of the past. I know people have been very unhappy with the changes being made for quite some time and it seems like 'the higher ups' just do not give a rap about our opinions. They ask for it but they just don't pay attention. Even when shopping online, I can't tell you how much time I've wasted finding that everything I was interested in was out of stock. Talk about frustration on many levels. I'd so very much would love to be able to order pants that I just knew would fit and I walked away the happy customer. NO MORE. I sincerely am so very upset and from the looks of just this site, so is everyone else. How can a CEO not pay attention to this mass dissatisfaction amongst their loyal past customers. From the looks of things, I guess we simply just have an area to vent and that's about it. What an unhappy end to such a sad story.

Last time I shopped at JCP (about 2 years ago), I was so excited to get so many great tops, skirts and jeans on SALE! Everything was on the sale rack or marked way down and were brands I love (Worthington, St. Johns Bay, etc). This weekend (3/29/13) I went to JCP to use my $50 gift card on what I hoped would be a bunch of new Worthington tops and was severely disappointed. Although I ended up finding 2 dresses, that's all I found. I walked through the store and did not recognize anything that looked like the "old" JCP. It's looks so boutique-ish, fanch-schmancy, and the clothes are boring. Bring back the old JCP! Bring back the good old days when the store was jam-packed with people enjoying a great sale! It was downright depressing shopping on a Good Friday when everyone was off work....and hardly anyone was in JCP. :-(

I would purchase almost every color short-sleeve for spring/summer, and 3/4 sleeve for fall/winter. I am just sick that they are gone and their replacement is cheap and styled for a much younger (and thinner) crowd. My last trip to JCP was horrible. Not only missing my tees, but the transaction took forever for the couple of items I bought for my grandchildren because they were trying a pilot program of using IPads to check out instead of cash registers. Very little inventory, and what there was, was geared to the 25 and under age group. I didn't see any of the clothes that I had always purchased for work, either. I then checked out the underwear department ): . . . Throw rugs I used in my kitchen for years and years . . . gone. Checked on line today for the rugs....not there!!! So disappointed. I am SOOOO frustrated! I used to buy all my work clothes at JCPenney. I told everyone it was MY store. I have just spent 4 hours looking for St John's Bay trousers and I can't find them anywhere. JCPenneys, YOU ARE NO LONGER MY STORE! How can you be when you don't carry clothes for regular people. If you are wise you will bring back the St John's Bay clothing line into the stores. That is the only way I will every buy anything there again. We were your loyal customers and you turned your back on us. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!

I have shopped JC Penney my whole life and by the way, that's 59 years. I have worn Arizona original fit jeans for years. The fit was good and the price was right. Since JC Penney has changed their marketing strategies, it is no longer for anyone over 25 years old. I can't get the same jeans anymore, and I tried to order them online and they are not the same jeans or quality and the price has increased. For now anyway, I'm done with JC Penney until they market to everyone instead of a select few !!

JC Penny's what are you doing? I have shopped here all my life, but you have gotten rid of everything I love. Now, I'm finding that St. John's Bay is going--the only jeans that fit me right. Worthington is gone. You barely have women's suits that are for the 30s age group. Your styling choices are driving your chain out of business.

Agree with previous comments. No longer will I be shopping at JCP. I loved the SJB clothing line, Underscore Bras, Studio 1 dresses, etc. It is such a shame that JCP has self destructed after so many years. Will be shopping elsewhere from now on. Nothing can bring me back unless they go back to old tried and true clothing lines. May be too late for JCP to recover.

You discontinued St. Johns Bay jeans and those were the only kind I wear. This made JCP my go-to stop when shopping for clothes. I would often pick up shirts, footwear, outerwear, etc. when I went for new jeans. My wife usually shops with me, and would often find something there too. Honestly, there is no reason for me to go to JCP or browse your website any more. If you decide to bring them back, let me know - I'll be over at Kohl's.

BOTH my mom and myself have stopped shopping at JCP, since thier "new and improved" way of running the store. Every year for as many as I can remember I load up on the St. Johns Bay tanks and tees in summer and in the fall I get the 3/4 sleeve length tees. What crazy person decided to do away with such a popular brand. It looks lik JCP is trying to be a "fashion" store and cater to a young group and forget everyone else. My mom hates their "ads" and refuses to shop there any longer. Luckily there are other stores that now get my money and will continue to do so until they bring back the St Johns Bay brand. I think JCPenny is trying very hard to go out of business. I was looking through the sale fliers in my sunday paper,and came across the JCPenny flier. The Intire flier was the same model. A young slim girl. There was 1 or 2 pictures on each page of the girl in different clothes. This was the biggest waste of advertising dollars I have ever seen. This Sale flier was only appealing to young slim girls that like that style of clothes. There was nothing at all for adults,Kids or Children.

Truly hope you will bring back ladies SJB t-shirts, long-sleeved crew and 3/4-sleeved V-neck. The weight of cloth was far superior to what is being offered today (no show-through!)and the cotton came out of the dryer ready for the office or weekend without an iron necessary. These were the daily basics that I relied on JCP for, and hope to again. Otherwise, I'll have to find another source of daily basics and then won't need to check back.

I wasn't a huge fan of JCP, but it had it's perks! I LOVED the Adonna pajamas and haven't found anything equal since. However now you can find some amazing deals on the clearance racks! I bought a $2 prom dress a few days ago. Here are my suggestions: 1. The store set up is terrible and it's hard to find anything! Fix it! 2. The prices are outrageous for the current quality. Lower them. You don't need a 100% profit. 3. Find a clientele! The "hipster" thing only hits about 1-2% of people! 4. Bring back our beloveds! 5. Fire that stupid CEO. You can't hire a guy who has no clothing experience! 6. Don't lie, you advertise $5 shirts, but I can only find $10 shirts. The clearance racks say $14 and up, but they can be as low as $2! 7. Listen to us!

You have lost my business. Your new clothing lines are very low quality. You discontinued St. John's Bay. I used to buy their active wear regularly. My husband liked their t-shirts and polo shirts. I also loved the Adonna pajamas (discontinued). When you have a hard time keeping items in stock, you don't discontinue them, you stock more! I have shopped in JC Penney's for all my adult life. I loved shopping there, I could always find whatever I needed at JCP. Not anymore. They got rid of the only line of clothes that fit and look good on me, St John's Bay. I have looked at their other lines and tried them on and they don't look or fit well. I always purchased St Johns for my husband, they were reasonably priced and fit great. Luckily, I did find a replacement for him, Lee's. Putting away laundry this morning, I lovingly hung up a St John's Bay shirt for my husband, and thought to myself -- wonder if I can get it anywhere else but Pennies. Found this website, and am absolutely amazed!!! Never knew there were so many others out there that feel like I do. Where did my old beloved Pennies go??? I shopped there through thick and thin for almost 50 years. Refuse to go in the 2 stores in my area now, because it is horrible! I'm in my 70's -- not a young kid -- I want familiar and good quality, and couldn't find either and finally just walked away. I even had a 100.00 gift card to use up, and tried in vain to find things that fit or I would enjoy. Ended up taking them back and buying socks and jewelry just to use the card up. With no activity on my credit card for well over a year, do you think they are catching on??? Don't worry -- I'm finding new stores and moving on. Goodbye, Pennies of my youth!!

Joe Fresh, “The line is available at over 300 Canadian supermarkets and superstores, in addition to a number of stand-alone locations”. A design to compete, under sale Walmart who is moving into Canada.” Search for “Wal-Mart pits its George vs. Joe Fresh” or click the link http://www.canada.com/story_print.html?id=e8649e7b-d0b5-43c7-a86c-061ed3638fb9&sponsor= Basically Joe Fresh is an in-house brand for a Canadian Walmart like store. Ron is amazing isn’t he, JCP is just a hype machine. You can not use cell phone, tablet, computer dazzle to sell cheaply made clothing in bright light. Well, he is dazzling you with smoke and mirrors and it would be with coffee, but that company has pulled out of Ron's plans, seems companies are distancing themselves from Ron.. Most of those designer labels Ron has are also, "Made for JCP, this means you will not find them at Nordstorm, there is a reason, they would not have it, they are made to a target price with high profit margin built in, some upscale store isn't it. Now do you know how Ron claims that his new mini stores are pulling in twice of more profit per square foot than the older parts of the store, he is selling you a product like Joe Fresh, designed to under cut an in house Walmart brand, man, you are going to like the way you look, I bet Ron bursts out laughing every time he sees someone in a Joe Fresh outfit, I know I would LOL, for years the best deals you could get was a place with low overhead, may not look pretty, but stocked floor to ceiling, wall to wall, usually with surplus stock from companies like JCP that have gone belly up and someone buys their unsold stock. Ron vision seems to reverse this, slick store, cheesy ware, high profit.

Lately I've been hearing a lot of talk about JCpenneys trying to make a new image for themselves. I think this is a great idea; however you’re going about it the wrong way. In this writers opinion the company needs a new name; calling it JCP isn't good enough because that name still hold your original "JCpenneys". The last thing you want is people to say "I got it at Penney’s; it sounds like a store that’s for people who barely have 2 pennies to rub together. I’m not saying you should jack your prices up either. If you think about it JCP should be primarily be marketing towards college students. They’re poor yet still looking for what’s hot. This idea doesn’t just apply to clothing; college students need everything from bedding, towels, pots, pans etc. that being said, if you want the world to look at your differently you need to start with the kids... and kids don’t like what’s not “cool” because “JCP” isn’t cool. Thanks

I like natural fabrics, and St. John's Bay was by far one of the nicest brands JCP carried. I used to go to the store several times a year but don't anymore. The last time I was in the store, what little product they had was just racks of polyester crap. I was in the store around Christmas of 2011. The coat dept. had tons of coats and the store was jammed with shoppers. I went again last Christmas and saw only a few single racks of coats around the perimeter of the coat dept., and cheap looking stuff at that. Lots of real estate, no product. I predict that in a year or two these stores will cease to exist.

I agree. Levi priced themselves out of my jean price range, so started with St. John's Bay. Thought they were comfy and wore well. Then poof... Gone. How sad. Store has less selection for men, and are really going for the teen customer with the flashy lights and eclectic background music. I was even willing to go along with their crappy decision for no more sales, thinking the company could save some money on advertising. But, they screwed that up too. To the company trolls on here who want to say 'everything is rosy', stop. We don't want propaganda or advertising... Just decide quality products for a reasonable price.

I was a loyal shopper at JCP for 20 plus years. Over that time I raised three children and two grand children. I would enjoy taking my family into our local store and talking to the sale associate's and a few associate would remember me by my name. It has all changed. I go in their and I can't find anyone to assist me plus I have to wait in a long line just to have a question answer. Their is no check out on the second floor welcome shop lifters I end up putting all my items on a closes rack and left! I am so disappointed in a store that I always enjoyed, it was worth waiting in traffic and looking for a parking space. You taken values that Mr. Penney himself built his reputation on and flushed down the toilet. Shame on you,

St Johns Bay for men is gone and so am I. Nothing new at JC Penney that I care for in the least. The most idiotic transition to something new that I have ever seen. If corporate espionage had anything to do with it - it worked. Competition for Sears, Macy's, etc is gone at Penney's

I drive 15 miles to shop at penney's I hated they discontinued the SJB's brand but I had a $10 coupon and wanted a new purse so thought I would give it another try. The fairly large selectiion of handbags they used to carry has dwindled down to maybe 2 brands. Thanks penney's besides not carrying SJB anymore or ambrielle this is another plus. Way to go

Well, I went to penney's today and saw that St. John's Bay was back in women's and men's! Yoohoo! Lots in men's, nice quality and smart style. In women's they had cute tees and nice capris; they also had tank tops which I never liked so I did not like them this time as well. Jcpenney in my mall is very big and nice. They are having some remodels going on, so it's a bit crowed with stuff. Otherwise beautiful store with nice employees. And employees are always there too, working like little ants. Maybe because I shop on weekdays mornings only. Overall, happy customers!

Ron Johnson's guidence is nothing short of a disatater for JCP. His pusuit of the tween & teeny bopper market has not worked and he has alienated the middle class family market that built the company. The abandonment of the much loved St. John's Bay clothing line has got to rank as one of the dumbest retailing moves since "new coke"! An immeadeate change of leadership and reversal of stratedgy is Penny's only hope.

From all the comments I've read jcp apparently doesn't care what its customers want. I was told the jcp brand replaced the St. Johns Bay brand, well that's great if ur a teeny bopper. I happen to be 69 and liked SJB pants for work and casual. Why would a co. discontinue a brand that received mostly 5 star ratings.

I have been shopping at JCP for years and am very unhappy with the changes. I can no longer purchase my St. John's Bay pants that I wear to work and now I discover that I can no longer get my favorite bra. I have also purchased all of my quilts, curtains, etc from JCP but the choices they have now are limited and not my style.

I totally agree with the Shelby, TN comments. I too loved St. John's Bay and there petite clothing. Penny's is now very disappointing to shopping there. Apparently they don't care what there customers want. It used to be a nice store. It is extremely limited in most departments.

I think the clothes are prettier than I've ever seen them. They are bright compared to dull Kohl's clothing. However, the newer lines seem to fit very small, which is disappointing. I personally like the new layout of the store and I think the pricing is very good. I seem to one of very few people who like the changes. My daughter-in-law says it is her new favorite store too.

To those who wonder why JCP is more heavily targeting teens and their moms, this sect (woops, well, had meant to say segment, but...) likely spends more money on clothes than older women and furthermore is impressionable enough that there is a perceived need to change wardrobes constantly to keep up with fads. It is likely all about where the CEO and Board think the market share is; who is gullible enough to keep spending the $$ on new clothing and fads. It is disappointing, but it is business. Similarly, this is why most movies are "action" "violence" "sex" -- only it's the 20-something male market that is the target in that case. It's about business and profits.
>>> Pragmatist 3/8/2013 6:12:05 PM
Well stated, except it's not about profits, it's about losses! Penny's just reported an unpresedented loss for their most recent quarter. The Teeny/Twenty something marketing strategy is a disaster!!!

I was soooo disappointed to see that Penneys has discontinued the St. John's Bay women's crew neck tops and replaced them with far inferior JCP labeled tops. Last year I bought several of the St. John's Bay tops in different colors. Went back this week to get some new ones and found they no longer carry them. The replacement JCP brand are sad substitutes, indeed, with the sizes not being true and the fabric and workmanship far inferior. Hey, JCP, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!! Sadly, I must find my tops at another store now unless you bring them back.

I have had a Penneys credit card for 30 years. Shopped at Penneys when times were lean for good bargains and quality clothes and housegoods, and as I got older and could buy what I wanted, I shopped thereat leadt once a month. No more. The housewares are overpriced cheap junk...what happened to the JC Penney towels? Where are the cotton percale sheets? The clothes are awful. I'm not fat, but I'm not in my 20's anymore and I can't find anything that I would wear. My 19 year old daughter won't shop there..she prefers H & M or Express since she says Penneys is too xpensive for what she wears and for the styles. Unfortunately, even if this Johnson is fired tomorrow, it won't bring back customers...we have all moved on. I honestly thinj Penneys will be gone a year from now. It's not really the lack of coupons and sales that drove the customers away...it's the new merchandise they brought in. Loyal Penneys customers won't buy that stuff and the young target customer won't either. Bye bye Penneys....sniff sniff

I went to our local Penney's yesterday. It's a wreck - remodeling (how do they have the money for that when they're so down?) for yet another "hip" brand shop aimed at young people. I also checked out the new stuff by Duro Olowu - just ok quality, and there were only 4 tiny racks of merchandise. They got that part right, because no one outside of the coasts and big cities is going to buy that line. It will go straight to clearance all across the country - it's WAY too busy and wild. Penney's core shopper is female and over 40. No matter how hard they try, they are not going to be able to bring in young people, who will keep shopping at Hollister, Abercrombie, American Eagle, Wet Seal, Forever 21, Kohl's and Target. Oh, and having employees slopping around in jeans and t-shirts in a dept. store is totally unprofessional. Dillards just won my business, if for no other reason than they have quality merchandise for WOMEN (not just teens) and their staff look and act professional. I'd rather pay the higher prices for better goods and a more pleasant shopping experience.

I too am very disappointed to see my two favorite brands (St. John's Bay and Ambrielle) go. I had switched over to Penney's about 12 years ago (from Sears, which has been steadily going down hill and has now totally lost my respect by selling trashy Kardashian merchandise)- but anyway, I loved shopping at Penneys this past decade, using the occasional $10 coupons and finding quality clothing that flattered and fit. When last I went to my local one, they were 1/2 way through renovating to this 'new normal' and instead of the St. John's Bay tees and pants I love, there was one shelf of 'Made for Life' tees, apparently the brand that has taken over for St. John's Bay--I bought one of the last v-neck 3/4 sleeve tees, it's similar but just not quite the same;the knit material is thinner. And the horrible name of the brand 'Made for Life' sounds like a prison sentence and is not a flattering one, makes me feel old (and I'm only 51) I didn't realize that Ambrielle was gone until I read this -- Damn! JC Penney has clearly shown where it wants its loyalty coming from. They better start respecting their middle-aged customers again or I'm out of there.

This store has really pushed away its loyal customers. What kind of a wake up call do the board of directors need? I can deal with the pricing, that's one thing, but there is NO selection. Brands and merchandise have been steadily disappearing. Once a very loyal customer, I have had enough. Kohl's is my new choice, they have their act together, great and ample selections, and great deals. In this economy, that is what most are looking for. For 40 years I bought all my clothes in Penneys, (and most of my linens and housewares) but not any more. I can't find the brands I used to buy, I don't like the advertising totally directed at the teen and twenty-something age group. The housewares section has been reduced by half, can't find much there so have to buy on line. That is not what it used to be, and it takes weeks to get some items. Whereas I would go into Penney's at least once a week, sometimes twice, I haven't been in there more than 5 times in the last year since I can't find what I want any more. I only buy Stafford Super Shirts. I am a school principal and loved these shirts as they were the best in the market. The fact that your company has decided to discontinue them is sad and frustrating. I will now have to shop at Macy's or Sears and try and find a shirt that is similar. You lost a customer of 20 years and - frankly - your store does not seem to care too much. When I asked the attendants at the stores, they do not even understand it. The layout of the stores have changed, the selection is limited, and it seems like you lost your identity. Was it worth it JC Penney?

I have always counted on Pennys to provide quality merchandise, and have been willing to pay for it. Classic clothes, classic cuts - merchandise that was well worth the money. Well now, not only have you confused contemporary with trashy, you have downgraded the quality to "discount mart" wear! Really? it didn't occur to you that real adults have more money than tweens? Looks like its Macys only now...

What new bra line are you making to replace the Ambrielle? Happy to look at it. I'm sure it was popular and you are just rebranding it with a new series.

You used to be my go-to stroe for men's t-shirts / polo shirts....you had St John's Bay and in my hubby's 4XL....now, you have some new brand....what have you done with JCP ???????? You lost me as a customer.....that brand was the best shirt my hubby had worn.....i will have to find another store... whoever is at the helm there at JCP really blew it....shame on you

Ambrielle is GONE...the brands that replaced it are not even similar...Ambrielle Ultimate Upsize bra was the ONLY reason I shopped there...oh well..

You discontinued all your best brands, screwed with coupons and re-arranged your stored in a really stupid way. Sorry JCP, you completely lost me as a loyal customer..I will not shop with you again.

I was a loyal SJB customer for at least the past 10 years. I haven't been in Penneys since the first of October. It has absolutely nothing to offer and since they quit running sales, I see they have no "sales"/income. Way to go Penneys!

I agree. I have been a loyal JCPenney customer my entire life. St. John Bay was the best! I received a $10 coupon a couple of weeks ago. Spent almost an hour in the store - free money, right? Left empty handed. So you see, it's not just that they discontinued coupons. They discontinued tried and true brands.

I'm very frustrated with changes to JCPenney's men's dress shirts. I especially like the shirts titled 'Super Shirts.' They have always fit well in the past. But the shirts JCPenney is now shipping in this category are too tight, particularly in the arms. It's either an attempt to save costs in materials or to cater to a different crowd. The tighter shirts may be okay for a teenager or a recent college graduate but I'm a 50-year-old, extra-tall businessman, who has loved being able to obtain a well made, nicely fitting, dress shirt at a reasonable price. I'm very sorry to see that go away....

Announced today that JCP 4th quarter earning were a DISASTER! Ron Johnson has this company in a death spiral, and no wonder, All the new lines announced in the past year look like they were designed by hookers or cartoonists. In the latest ad "Meet Nick Wooster" Nick looks like a comic strip used car salesman! Pennys built it's business on offering quality clothing for the whole family at fair prices. They have abandoned that business model to concentrate on the teeny bopper crowd. The Irony of this story is Johnson is being paid $50 million to destroy this company! I fear that no matter what action is taken at this date, it is too late to save this fine old company...sad...sad.

Hi - I was a regular customer at Pennys for years and years....however, you did away with SBJ Active Wear. Best stuff I ever work to work out. You broke in flimsy material for a teen-ager and I hate the new store
